About Micah
Micah is an international performer, composer, and musical director whose work spans theatre, music, and television. He continues to perform and work professionally in Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, France, the UK, the USA, and elsewhere.
Born in Taiwan to French and Finnish parents, Micah was raised in Hong Kong, where he grew up speaking English and Cantonese. He trained as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London and received his master’s degree in composition for musical theatre from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Recent performing credits include his one-man show Gweilo (金童子), which had its third Hong Kong run followed by tours in Paris and Shenzhen; the official Leslie Cheung musical 為你鍾情 / Café I Do; Glorious! as pianist Cosmé McMoon with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong; Elton John in Secret Theatre’s immersive show Studio 54; and Sarastro in The Magic Flute with Tokyo Opera Studios.
Micah is currently working on a new musical with Marsha Yuan, My Bubble and Me. He also works with choreographers and television productions, including most recently the UK TV series George & Mary.
When not working in the theatre, Micah also teaches privately and at universities and schools, including the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the University of Idaho.
